The application process for the IAQ Quality Sustainability Award offers
simple, non-bureaucratic and effective procedures that allow a fair examination
of the applications and at the same time create as little extra work as
possible for the applicants. If you have suggestions on how to further improve
this process, please do not hesitate to put them forward.
The application process consists of six steps supported by two
templates. The language of all documents included in the application process is
English. Questions about the process or the procedures can be sent to us by
e-mail (email@example.com) and will be answered as quickly as possible.
The six-step application process:
1. Finalize your quality and sustainability project
The activity/project that is the basis for your application should be finalized and the final results reviewed over time. The IAQ Quality Sustainability Award will only be awarded to projects that have delivered measurable effects and results within any of the 17 United Nations (UN) Sustainability Development Goals. IAQ will not award good ideas, theories and projects that have not yet delivered results.
A project applying for the IAQ Quality Sustainability Award can be carried out using any quality management or improvement methodology. Examples of such methodologies are TQM, Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen and root cause analysis. More examples can be found in the American Society for Quality (ASQ) Quality Body of Knowledge (QBoK) (www.asq.org), but are not necessarily limited to these. Innovative approaches are welcomed.
2. Order the application package from IAQ
To apply for the IAQ Quality Sustainability Award you need the original IAQ documents. Order the application package with our documents by sending a mail to firstname.lastname@example.org The documents are free and there is no other fees connected to the application.
3. Fill in the application form
The primary document of the application is the application form. This document and the one-page summary will be examined and is the basis for the decision regarding winner(s) of the IAQ Quality Sustainability Award.
Follow the instructions in the application form. The form must be completed in English. It should be written so that it is clear and easy to read. Remember that the applicant should prove to the examining committee that the project is worthy of the award. It is not the committee’s responsibility to try to understand a document that is difficult to read. The completed application form should be about 2-4 pages, but not more than 4 pages.
4. Develop a one-page summary for publication and research
It is mandatory to include a one-page summary of the work being done and results/effects achieved in the application. IAQ must also be given the right to use this summary for publication and research. The purpose for this is to promote a better sustainability work in companies and organizations all over the world. More information about how to develop this summary is found here.
5. Complete the application
A complete application consists of the application form, the one-page summary for publication and a voluntary technical improvement report. Examination is done based on the information in the application form and one-page summary. An attached technical improvement report that supports the application could be used by the examining committee for clarification, but is not part of the examination. The configuration and scope of the technical improvement report is open. It could, for example, be an internal final improvement project report.
All documents must be written in English and delivered in PDF-format.
6. Send the application to IAQ
Mail the complete application to IAQ to apply for the award. Use the mailadress email@example.com You will get an confirmation of your application within 2-3 days.
